Before becoming a social worker, I was an educator for many years. After a career teaching middle school, adolescents, and college-age students, it became evident that my students were in far greater need of mental health care than anything else. My understanding and appreciation for my students on an intellectual, emotional, and personal level gave me the insight to best meet the needs of my clients as a therapist.

I have an MSW from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work of Yeshiva University, an MA In Latin American and Iberian Studies from UCSB, and a Ph.D. in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Maryland College Park.

I am bilingual in Spanish and English.
